I am making a contribution to the Indiana Sikh Political Action Committee also known as the SikhsPAC. I understand in doing so my contribution will not be deductible for tax purposes as a charitable contribution or as a business deduction.
I understand that under Indiana law foreign nationals may not make political contributions to benefit Indiana candidates.
Under Indiana and Federal law a foreign national is a foreign principal or a non-U.S. citizen who is not lawfully admitted for permanent residence in the United States. (2 U.S.C. Sec. 441(e), 22 U.S.C. Sec. 611(b), 8 U.S.C. Sec. 1101(a)(20)). Foreign principals and non-U.S. citizens include:
(1) Foreign governments
(2) Foreign political parties
(3) Foreign corporations
(4) Foreign associations
(5) Foreign partnerships
(6) Individuals with foreign citizenship, and
(7) Immigrants not possessing a green card.
I represent that I am not a foreign national as defined above.
I further represent that I am not representing a national bank or a federally chartered corporation.
I further represent that I am not an officer in nor do I have a 1% ownership interest in a regulated gaming entity.
If this contribution is from my corporation, I understand that the funds have to be dedicated and used by the PAC in a way that is consistent with the contribution limits set forth in IC 3-9-2-4 (a summary of which is attached to this document).
Finally, I represent that I am not making this contribution in the name of another person.
As of right now, SikhsPAC does not accept donations from any corporations or labor organizations. SikhsPAC is only accepting personal donations.
